Claiming space

Drawing & Storytelling

24 April

12:00-15:00

With Rojin Tavassoli

This workshop invites participants to explore how we experience and negotiate space—physically, emotionally, and socially. Through intuitive drawing exercises using charcoal, crayon, and paint, participants experiment with body movement and mark-making on large communal paper surfaces.

As the group draws together, the shared canvas becomes a space to observe how we claim, avoid, or respond to others around us. In the second part of the workshop, participants reflect on personal experiences where they felt unable to claim space—whether in conversation, relationships, or public life—and transform these stories into collective visual narratives.

No artistic experience is required.

The workshop focuses on process, interaction, and reflection, creating a space for participants to explore boundaries, presence, and shared experience through drawing and storytelling.

The workshop will be held in English and Dutch, depending on participants.
